The conference offers international brands and other guests the opportunity to experience herding culture first hand and meet with the local cashmere supply chain. About The Ulaanbaatar Conference
Next September, the SFA will once again be hosting its in-person conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, this time with an international focus on the cashmere industries of both Mongolia and Inner Mongolia, China. The conference will feature talks on fashion branding & design, reforms in skills & competence, animal welfare, technology & digitization, environmental protection, clean processing and herder livelihoods. The conference will also include the Sustainability Awards dinner for herders.
Activities for International Guests
International guests will be invited to a series of activities designed to provide first hand insights into Mongolian culture, the day to day lives of nomadic herders, and the importance of the cashmere industry for Mongolian herders and processors. Tickets for international guests include hotel costs, transport, food, and admittance to the conference & awards dinner. Guests must arrange their own flights and visas.
